A crunchy delicious snack from Malabar!
COOK WITH LOVE
Ingredients:
Palin Flour: 1cup
Semolina: 3/4 cup
Sugar: 6tsp
Baking Soda: 1/4 tsp
Salt: 1pinch
Cardamom Powder: 1/2  tsp
Ghee: 3tsp
Egg: 1/2 portion
Coconut Oil: 200ml
Water: 1/2 Cup

Direction:
In a medium bowl add plain flour, semolina, sugar, baking soda, salt, cardamom powder, ghee and half portion of the beaten egg and mix gently with your hands. Then add a little water and stir it. Repeat this process until you get a soft dough.

Preparation:
Make small balls of above dough and spread it on the back side of a fork. Then gently roll it from bottom to top to get the cylindrical dumplings with lines outside.
In a medium hot pot add oil and once it is hot smoothly transfer the dumplings into the oil and deep fry it. Once done, transfer it to a tray ready with butter paper to absorb the oil outside. After 5 minutes transfer it to food containers. Your Cheepappam is ready now!
Good snack to serve with hot coffee or lemon black tea!
Hope you will love it.
