Home Made Chicken Shawarma

Fry/grill the Chicken:
Your chicken shawarma is ready now.
COOK WITH LOVE
Ingredients:
- Boneless Chicken – 250gm
- Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
- Cumin Seeds - ¼ Tsp
- Garlic Paste – ¾ tsp
- Garam Masala or Arabic Masala -¾ tsp
- Oregano – ½ Tsp
- Soya Sauce – 1tsp
- Olive oil – 3tsp
- Sunflower Oil – 3tsp
- Lemon juice – 1tsp
- Yoghurt – 2tsp
- White Sesame Seeds – 6 to 8 Tsp
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Cabbage-200gm
- Cucumber-1
- Tomato -1
- Lettuce - 1 Sprig
- Potato - 1
- Salt - to taste
- Small size Kuboos – 4nos
- Medium Rumali Roti – 2nos
- Water - as required
Serves: 4
Preparation:
Chop the cabbage, cucumber, tomato & lettuce.
Directions:
Wash the chicken and drain the water completely. Then use below-mentioned ingredients to prepare the marinade and marinate the chicken for 1 Hr.

- Garam Masala or Arabic Masala

- Soya Sauce
- Olive oil – 1tsp
- Salt to taste
Shawarma Sauce:
Heat the white Sesame Seeds in a pan until it becomes golden brown. Remove from the stove and allow it to settle down to room temperature and then grind it in chutney jar.
Then add 2 garlic cloves, 1 tsp Lemon juice & 2 tsp of Olive oil and 3-5tsp of light hot water and grind it. Transfer the contents to another plate. Add 2tsp yoghurt and required salt. Your Shawarma Sauce is ready.
Potato Fries:
Potato Fries:
Peel and rinse the potatoes. Cut each potato lengthwise into 4 or 5 pieces. Then cut each piece into sticks. The thinner these are, the crispier they will be. Add these to boiled water and semi-cook it and transfer to a plate. In a saucepan, fry thin potato sticks in sunflower oil and transfer to a butter paper. Sprinkle salt water and mix the potato sticks. Deep fry the sticks in the sunflower oil. Once it becomes crispy transfer it to a plate and spread it butter paper.
Fry/grill the Chicken:
In a saucepan add 3tsp sunflower oil. Once it’s hot add marinated chicken and shallow fry it. Chop it into small pieces.(You can also grill the marinated chicken in an oven).
Shawarma Roll:
Take 1 Kuboos and using a sharp edge split the layers. In the inner layer spread the shawarma sauce until it forms a thick layer. Fill the inner layer with required chopped cabbage, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, the fried/grilled chicken and french fries. Then gently roll the kuboos.
Take a half portion of Rumali Roti and place the rolled kuboos on it. Roll it with Rumali Roti until the kuboos roll is completely wrapped.
Place this roll on the grill and press it for 2 minutes and then roll it in a butter paper.
Your chicken shawarma is ready now.
